About the Deloitte Foundation
The Deloitte Foundation is a self-owned institution and a commercial foundation with basic capital of DKK 57,700,000. The Deloitte Foundation has existed for almost 70 years since it was founded in 1953 under the name Revisions-instituttets Fond (Danish Audit Institute’s Foundation), with its registered office in Copenhagen. In 1996, the foundation changed its name to the Deloitte & Touche Foundation, and in 2004 it changed to its current name, the Deloitte Foundation.

Purpose
The Foundation’s primary purpose is to contribute to the preservation of Deloitte Statsautoriseret Revisionspartnerselskab as an autonomous, independent audit firm with high professional standards.
The Foundation’s secondary purpose is to distribute funds in support of scientific research in the fields of economics and auditing, as well as funds to art through the purchasing of works of art. The same applies to the distribution of funds for national charitable or other non-profit purposes at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
Distributed funds
The Deloitte Foundation distributes approx. DKK 15 million every year, and primarily supports educational activities for employees at Deloitte. The intention is that these funds shall contribute to ensuring the preservation of the audit firm as an autonomous, independent company of high professional quality.
On the basis of applications received that meet the requirements of the Foundation’s primary purpose provision, the Board decides during the spring which applications are to receive funding.
